My two 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV’s are coming up for the lease end. I sat at a Mazda dealership in San Antonio for over 2 hours getting the oil changed. There were multiple sales staff outside waiting for an up. I told service on two different occasions that I wanted the minimum; no air filter and no alignment because I was turning the car back into Mazda in a few months. But service never mentioned this to any of the managers or sales people.

The dealership obviously was not using anything like AutoAlert to find people like me. Every single time that I have been at a Mazda dealership for service in the past two years, not one sales person every asked me if I had any questions about the car or tried to connect with me. Yet there was a lot of sales staff waiting around.

AutoAlert and other companies like them have made it so easy for sales people to find people like me. I know a sales person selling 30 cars a month in a very small town, by using AutoAlert and just working the service isle. It did take him a few years but every year he picked up more and more sales.

This past week I have been at several dealerships in San Antonio for interviews. Every dealership that I went to, was not taking the service drive seriously, some even had AutoAlert but were barely using it. One of the dealerships, that had AutoAlert, but was not really using it, told me that another dealership near him had a whole group of sales people just working AutoAlert and the Service Isle.
