I worked with a new sales person that had no experience with social media, he had social accounts but he never posted. I asked him how are you on LinkedIn? He had no idea, when we found his LinkedIn he had 850 followers from 4 years at a local private college. Plus when you searched for him on Google, he had won all kinds of awards and there were multiple posts from the college and other associations.

Tips to help your college grads sales staff sell 20 cars a month

  1. Look Professional: Your sales person needs to look like they work at your car dealership, name tag and company logo shirt.
  2. Join Alumni Groups: Get involved with the alumni groups and clubs from your college.
  3. Get To Know New People: Seek out other alumni in your area, stay in touch, help them how ever you can.
  4. Get Involved With Your Association: Like Baylor College Alumni Group San Antonio or Texas A&M Alumni Group San Antonio
  5. Work Social Media: Connect with as many as you can on Social Media. This includes following, liking, commenting, posting pictures and video from the alumni events.
  6. Look For Leads: Look for people that have needs that one of the other alumni can help.

Are You 100% Committed? The interesting thing about this guy was he was a little embarrassed that he worked at an auto dealership. I told him, if you start connecting with these 850 LinkedIn friends from college, you will easily sell 20 cars a month. These 20 car sales will probably pay you double or triple what your college buddies are making. The dealership had no idea what a gold mine they had with this guy.
